Well I have read Several Reports on this company today. Here is our story. My neice was spotted at an Aaron Carter concert here in Spartanburg South Carolina. She was called for an Audition in Greenville South Carolina by one of their agents. Her Mom and I took her there.
They Chose her for acting and Modeling. What I did not like is that we had to pay a deposit right away. No Time to think about it or anything. They told us that we had to pay and sign a contract right then or her spot would be gone. They said that only a few was chosen but I noticed that alot of people was chosen, mostly full figure girls that did not have much self confidence in themselves and was so excited to be chosen.
My neice had a friend chosen also. Who cancelled out also. MY neice is very beautiful and very smart. We let them have our credit card number and they would not give us a reciept. We later thought about this and cancelled the card just in time and gave a cancellation notice within 3 days.
The guy Lance from their company contacted us he told me we could not cancel and on the contract that we signed that we have a copy of says we can cancel in 3 days at no cost. He also told me that my Neice got the last spot and I know that was not true because her friend was chosen 3 hours later that day.
I was very upset with the way they try to push you into a decison right there and then. No Time To think, No time to discuss it with our Husbands or anything. My neices Mom tried to call her husband and lance kept asking her what the problem was. She was trying to get his opinion and find out if they would be able to afford this but their agent was very pushy.
They take these girls tell them what they need improving on and tell they are choosing them and that they are beautiful and it cost $1900 dollars. If you don't have at least $595 that day right then you can't do it. They claim you lose your spot right then. They are very pushy. I would be very aware of them If I was young girls in this area.

I must agree with Paul there. Just because you think you are chosen out because you were pretty or their type, doesn't make it a smart move to sit there and shell out two grand. I also filed a report with them. I was only 13 when it happened. I must say I did not learn a thing from them. I ran into a famous hairstylist and thats how I got turned in the right direction. He taught me actually useful things and told me how there thousands of people that will sit there and take barbizon and other modeling schools up on their offer. People don't read the print and let it soak in. Modeling SCHOOL NOT AGENCY, they do not get you jobs....they just try to teach you to be a model. If you have to be taught, you are in the wrong category. You either have it or you don't...don't be a victim to little scams like that.

I just wanted to say something nice about Barbizon. Before I started, I never had much self esteem or confidence. I now realize that I have always had my beauty on the inside and out, and Barbizon helped me see that.
