Barnes Concrete Windell Barnes Poured a 40x60 concrete slab improperly, left the job unfinished, did not complete all the work that was agreed would be done. In the end, i spent $6000.00 for a slab that was not poured correctly. Mr. Barnes did not calculate the proper amount of concrete for the job, or did not prep the site properly before pouring. After pouring the main slab, Mr. Barnes came to me and said that he would need more money ti finish the job as we had agreed. I said no and he left the job unfinished. Calvert Alabama
Barnes concrete was hired to pour a 40x60 slab as well as several other tasks related to our new shop. The slab was poured improperly, it has no fiber or wire reinforcement in it. After the mistake was discovered, Mr. Barnes agreed to sign a document saying that he would stand behind the slab and replace it should any defect occur. Then he came to me and said that he was looking at the money situation on this job and would need more money to finish it as agreed. Mr. Barnes left the job incomplete. I have paid over $6000.00 of the agreed price of $8000.00 for what basically amounts to an improperly poured slab, a small sidewalk and standing up 20 poles. There is no way that I can get the rest of the work completed for the $2000 that is left.
