Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The day that the tub was finished I was sick so wasn't really able to see the problem with the tub, and didn't expect it either.

As soon as myself and my family began using it, we realized that one end of the tub, the end away from the drain, was very gushy. I called and reported it. The receptionist told me right away it sounded serious and she would get someone out. She said it sounded like there was water underneath the tub. Her name was Donna.

A guy named Paul came out, which dismayed me because he was here the day of the install and all he did was complain so the other two guys asked him to leave. He did. That day, he put one foot, with his shoe on, in the middle of my tub, and said, "nope, like I thought, nothin' wrong with it, where do you want this towel rack". I said, "first off, you are not putting anything else in until we get the problems settled, second, you didn't even feel where the gushiness is, and you wouldn't be able to feel it with your shoes on."

Still he left his shoes on, walked all over the tub, made it a dirty mess and said there was nothing wrong with it. I asked him to leave my house. Which then, he had the gall to WALK back in my door uninvited, to tell me to call another person 'Heather' in South Windsor. I told him "I wasn't calling anyone, and get out of my house, or I would have him removed by the local police".

A few minutes later Heather called from the SW office and I told her, him and his truck had better vacate my drive promptly. Heather told me that Tom would come and look and she would call me back in two days.

Never heard from Heather again. I had to call Heather back myself, which she wasn't easy to get in touch with because she was in a different office all together, in the Old Saybrook location, and when I finally got to her, she was rude, 8 days later, and when I asked why she hadn't called me back she said, "I was busy, and I didn't call anyone back, but you got me now, so what's the problem?"

I told her "She hadn't called back to make that appointment with Tom that she promised." She put me on hold for EIGHT minutes, with no apology, instead of calling me back, and then came back and said, "Jeff will be coming out in a week". I asked her what happened to Tom, whom you sang praises and said he was the only one that really should deal with this? She scanned right over that and said that "Jeff is better because he has been with the company for 14 years".

Jeff came out as promised a week later, but as usual did the same thing and just said there was no gushiness. He did admit that he could see movement in the end of the tub. Which would have to mean that the tub has some gushiness or because it isn't going to move if it is hard. And the interesting thing is, he told me that it was thicker material than a porcelain tub. Not a chance!!! My tub they took out was at least one inch thick. it was cast iron, then covered with porcelain. There is no way this thing is any thicker than maybe 1/8 inch at most. You can see it at the seams, exactly how thick it is.

In the end, Jeff promised me that he would have the president write up something stating that we are aware that our tub is gushy, even if they won't admit it. And if they don't come through on their bargain and send it to us, I will send them a copy of a letter myself stating the same, letting them know that we are aware of this fault, and that if anything happens, any breaking, cracking, etc, they will be liable, in fact beyond the regular warranty, because it wasn't installed properly.

BTW, Heather, for future customer service, what is the problem?

1) You don't put someone on hold for eight minutes, you say "I will be glad to get back to you, what is the best number and time to reach you?"

2) You don't wait for someone to call YOU, you call them.

3) If you're such a BONEHEAD that you do forget or are so inconsistant of a company that you don't return your calls and you don't call a customer back after a week, after you've promised to call back within two days TOPS, you don't tell her you haven't called a single person. That doesn't make it ok, it just shows what a lazy person you are.
