We purchased 5 stainless steel chill rollers on Monday Fedbruary 20, 2006. A cashiers check for $4,000.00 was sent Fred Canuel, Jr. and the rollers were never recieved. The cashiers check was cashed and everytime we actually were in contact with him he had another story that was a lie as to why we did not recieve them. It went from having him ship the rollers to us, to us having to schedule the truck, to us having to go out there to get them. Once we told him that we would come out and get them we have not heard back from him. Due to all of the lies about the transaction up until this point and the fact that he will not return e-mails and phone calls, we are not going out to get the rollers.

We are worried that he would skip town if we show up. We are debating on showing up at an unscheduled time with a police officer to try and catch him at work. If we give him notice he will not be there and we are not going to waste our money on plane tickets. Every type of complaint possible we will file. All we ask is for our rollers or our money back. He deserves to go to jail and should not be in business. We will report him to the IRS as well to make sure he claimed the money he stole from us. He is a thief and needs to be put out of business. He gives online stores a bad name. We will never buy again from an online store unless it is paypal certified or COD. Fred is worthless.

I am no longer affiliated with the purchaser or seller regarding this business transaction, however, I was contacted to to give the most accurate details in order for the consumer/business reading this to make their OWN conclusion. The company, Fred Canuel, has been in contact for another update or rebuttal. I did error on the four months and I apologize; however, I went back through my records and decided I would simply do a time line and let the reader decide if this is someone you would want to do business with. There is always the possibility this was an isolated incident that is up to the reader. We sent our check on 2-22-06 via UPS; company received the check on 2-28-06 and the check shows being deposited on 3-1-06. We would completely understand if the company waited to make sure the check cleared prior to shipment; check cleared our bank on 3-3-06. The company, Fred Canuel only contact, informed us they were in their warehouse and they needed the room so we felt the company should ship the rollers within a reasonable period of time from when the check was received; 5-7 working days. We sent the routing to the company on 2-28-06 for how to ship the rollers. After numerous phone calls we contacted the company on 3-27-06 and asked them to either ship the rolls or please return our money; again another reason; they had not shipped because he had been on vacation. On 3-28-06 another problem with getting the rollers shipped. Company kept offering to take pictures of the rollers and we look at that as if someone owes you money and they want to fax a copy of the check to you. Just as anyone would want the check we wanted the rollers or our money. On 3-29-06 we asked strictly for our money back and the company responded they didnt know we were in dire need for the rollers; we wanted what we paid for??? On 3-30-06 we ask if the company had sent the check and they advised If youd like to come and get your rolls please be our guest. That way you see exactly what you are getting. The company was either missing the point or ignoring the point; at this time we now wanted our money returned!!! On 3-31-06 we are advised the company is now going to contact our carrier to ship the rollers; good. On 4-3-06 and 4-6-06 our carrier has no pickup and on 4-4-06 the company advises they will go to the warehouse and verify the rollers were picked up. Surprise the rollers did not get picked up evidently there was no one at the warehouse; however, now the company will have someone there on 4-6-06 until 2:00 pm and the trucking company is to call the company prior to picking up to make sure someone is there. On 4-5-06 the trucking company calls us and informs us they have been calling to schedule and no one answers the phone. Company, Fred Canuel, advises he will contact the trucking company for the pickup; afternoon of 4-6-06 trucking company advises no one has contacted them for the pickup; shocking! On 4-6-06 again the company advises us we are more than welcome to come and get the rollers ourselves because now they are not in the warehouse they are on one of their storage trailers and Fred was tied up with his CPA since 9:00am. On 4-7-06 again we were asking for the rollers and advised him this can all be resolved quickly if you would just return our money; never an offer to return the money. On 4-7-06 we are advised by the company, Fred Canuel, the rollers will now be loaded either 4-10-06 or 4-11-06. On 4-10-06 we ask has the company notified the carrier for the pickup and advised Were working on it. Numerous times on 4-10-06 asking what the disposition of the rollers is the companies response at approximately noon Will get you pictures. Working on getting some men over to meet your truck. No more response as the day ends on 4-10-06. On 4-11-06 and 4-12-06 no response we decide to try once more, after no response, and advise the company, Fred Canuel, on 4-17-06 we would set up the truck if he could have someone available to load the carrier. We finally get the rollers picked up on 4-19-06 and receive them on 4-24-06. We were now suspicious of what we actually purchased and our suspicions were correct. The rollers as described in the sale were not stainless steel, not highly polished actual rust spots across the face and not in perfect condition. We ended up scrapping all the rollers and we learned a valuable lesson.

Rollers were finally recieved after four months. They were not as described, however, I believe it is because he had no idea what they acually were. They were supposed to be stainless seel and they were chrome with a very rough finish. Also, only one roller was a chill roller but would have cost more to rework the roller than to buy a brand new one. My advice to anyone buying from him is to check out the product first and to set it up to where he does not get paid until items are in transit with verifiable tracking information. We learned a lesson and hold no grudges. My earlier report was placed before we recieved the items. The purpose of this update is to clarify that we did recive the items, however, hey were no as described. Therefore, I would warn all potential customers about this seller. Make sure you ask alot of questions to ensure he knows what he is talking about. He was not honest with us and we wasted $4,000, however, we are lucky it was not more money.
