Customer service: The website gives the potential client the option to pay via paypal and for those of us who are no strangers to shopping online know, when you do so a prompt response thanking you for your purchase with shipping delivery estimates is forthcoming. Not so with this company. I received no verification and after four days and repeated request I received a petulant regurgitation of my request for information. All further attempts via phone or e-mail to find out the status of my order that is overdue, such as shipping information or lacking that, a request for a refund have been met with silence. Considering that this vendor is 135 miles from my locale, this is an unreasonable delay.
Reliability: This domain was registered on 12/02/2008 and expires on 12/02/2010, and it is apparent that quite a bit of effort has been put into the site development, youtube product videos, and with some minimal attention to link-building. However, given Mr. Osborn's willingness to accept payment without performance it would appear that the business is suffering and on the verge of insolvency. Further, insofar as I can discern, Mr. Osborn has no real property stake in the business so the potential for default is heightened.
Performance: Sadly, the only performance this author has seen on the part of Todd Osborn, DBA B azooka Gold Company, is a propensity toward thievery and avoidance of responsibility.
Given that this product has a small niche market of gold prospectors and is attempting to gain market share for a marginalized technological process at twice the price of a regular riffle sluice box, one would think the producer would clue in that there needs to be a benefit to doing business with them as opposed to a reputable company such as Keene Engineering. Obviously, this is not the case, and after a jaunt to small claims court in El Dorado County California, this author will watch this company slip into the oblivion of so many others before it who failed to recognize the meaning of "Customer Service".
Summary: Unless you have $215.00 that you will happily donate to the Todd Osborn rip you off fund, I suggest you look elsewhere for a reliable sluice box at half the price.
