BB&T Branch Banking And Trust Co Took 36 hours to post two test transactions totalling 61 cents to account history Nationwide
In order to link my BB&T checking account with my broker account two test transactions totaling a few tens of cents were deposited for verification. Despite the broker posting the transaction immediately at 12:01 AM Monday NO ONE at my local BB&T branch nor my online or phone account history was able to provide me with the exact amount of the two test transactions for over 36 hours. As a result I lost hundreds of dollars in unrealized transactions on the stock market as I could not transfer money to my broker.

Anytime you set up an electronic transfer, the first transfer takes longer because there is a two-way verification process that must be set up. The true test of how long a transfer will take is to do one now that it is established.
