11/30/01 I purchased a new boat and motor from Crystal-Pierz Marine in Crystal, Minnesota. My motor is a 2002 Yamaha 115 hp four stroke. I purchased The 100% money back guarantee warranty out of Bellingham, Washington. The carrier was pinnacle protection Plans. Under the program if I do not use my five-year warranty I would be refunded the $985.00 the plan cost me. In 2006 I received a letter from Crystal Marine letting me know that the 100% money back guarantee claims should now be mailed to Beacon Industries. When the policy ends the customer has 30 days to send in the required documentation for the refund and it is supposed to take about six weeks to receive my refund. I sent all of the correct documentation certified mail on 12/1/07 and Beacon signed for the package on 12/6/07. On 12/12/07 I received an additional checklist from Beacon with more hoops for me to jump through. I contacted Ms. Sheryl Matute several time Via Email and also left messages by phone. She never responded to any email or phone message. I was bounced around from person to person. Between trying to fulfill the additional requirements and getting the runaround from Beacon my 30-day window was closing. On or around 12/20/07 I was told by someone at Beacon that everything was in and correct. In February of 2008 I contacted Beacon to check the status of my claim and she said it was being processed. On 4/3/08 I contacted Beacon again and I was told it was processing. I told the woman at Beacon that I wished to speak to her supervisor and she said she would call me tomorrow. I was not contacted so on 4/7/08 I filed a complaint with the BBB. On 5/8/08 I recieved notice from the BBB that said In the absence of any response from the company this complaint despite our two requests to them, we are closing our file on this complaint.

This unanswered complaint will become part of the information we report to the public on this company for the next three years. Should any government agency request our files on this company, your complaint will also be included.

On 6/19/08 I once again contacted Beacon and I sopke with the same lady. When asked why she never returned my call she replied that she must have been too busy to call me. She informed me that the claim is still being processed. It has now been six months.
