I have worked for Beacon for about 2 years, and I have never gotten less than 2000 miles, unless it was by my doing or a break down. Break downs will happen at any company, but whenI get less than 2000 miles its becauseI asked for some thing like time off or to slow down for a while.
In the last 2 years I averaged between 2000-3000 miles a week when im working. I usually have one day that Im sitting, and its usually sunday. But I use that for a reset so I can run the rest of the week with out running out of hours.
I have never taken home less than $450 a week, unless I took an extended home time. It is possible that you can advance your pay check away. When I go to my dispatcher with an issue it usually gets solved. The shop is a little slower to respond but they figuer it out eventually.
Beacon is likemost companies you have to prove your worth befor they will give you more miles than they think you can handel. If they can't trust you in getting the freight there on time or early they will give you nothing but slow frieght.

You WILL go broke with this company! I quit them 2 weeks ago cause I was making more driving a forklift. You do a LOT of sitting with Beacon. My miles were averaging less than 2000/wk and I personally know 2 other drivers that on occasion got less than 1000 miles in a week... one got 800 and the other 600! I gave them one months notice for hometime, instead of getting me home... they sent me to Oregon! Go too far out of route and they charge you up to $1 a mile. If you quit make sure your at the yard because they WILL keep your last check! I burned $200 in fuel to bring their truck back and they kept my $488 last check for "mileage." Run far, far away from this company!!!
