This guy ripped us off over 10 years ago when he was doing business as a company called "Prime One Improvements". He got us for well ove 10 figures. I vowed that i would track him down for the rest of my life until he was caught. He'd also gotten another couple in Cleveland as well. Took money, and didn't finish/start work. He got us at a very vulnerable time too, as I'd just started a new job. I have quite a file amassed on the guy. There is also a facebook page titled: Bee Improvements sucks and Glen and Lisa Goddard are con artists.

All...Please file complaints with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office. In addition, please send your stories to channel 6. I have done all the above. The more exposure Glen Goddard gets.. the better off WE will be. Maybe we can help someone else from getting SCAMMED!

You were very smart to insist that they pull permits. We were led to believe that they weren't necessary. There is a good reason that Glen never filed the paperwork. Well, two good reasons. The first is that their work would never, ever pass code and the second reason is that he wants the money ASAP to support his drug habit.

I wish I had a reason of why Glen gave us our money back. The only thing I can think of is he never started our work but with all of his other problems I was convienced in would never see it. His assistant was the one that really came through but I think it was pure luck. I feel terrible that others are experiencing same problems with him and are struggling getting answers. He deserves to pay for the problems he has created and I hope everyone takes legal actions towards him. Good luck to everyone. I better never see a bee improvements advertisement on my mailbox again!!

Your stories are the same as mine. We've had the same experience with Bee Improvements. No sense giving the details; its like a bad record playing over and over... Ugh

Everything that has been mentioned above sounds just like the Glen that we met. Everything thing seemed legit with his company and I took 2 years to sign on the dotted line because I wasn't sure to trust myself that this was a good company. I googled his company many times before signing and everything seemed good so I am not sure what happened in the last month. Glen spent hours in our house on numerous occasions going through the process with us and we finally agreed to do the deal with Bee. I insisted that a permit be pulled in the company name even though he said I could just do it in my name.
We paid him a nice down payment and then we were going to finance the rest, and he said he would get the permit started before Christmas. Well, this past Monday my husband called the City himself to find out that no paperwork had even been submitted from Bee. I immediately called Glen demanding all of our money back. Sometimes when I would call he would pick up and sometimes he wouldn't. I called his office, his cell, and texted LOTS of times. We finally agreed to meet last night to get our entire deposit back and of course, he never showed.
I got a call from his assistant saying she felt bad but he was having trouble with his car. I know that is a lie, but she asked if she could personally bring me my check. I ended up meeting her today to get the check in which I am very happy, but I still am upset about this entire deal. I can't believe not only my husband and I but MANY other people are having troubles with Glen too. It makes me sick to my stomach that a person can do this to people who work hard for their money. I just hope my post helps at least one person from not using Bee Improvements.

Everything that you mentioned has been our experience too. However, tonight it got much, much worse when we found out that the contractors (that glen hired off of Craig's list) that had been working on our basement wired all of the new electric in with our old electric. They didnt add any new breakers! Now not only do we have two rooms upstairs where the lights aren't working because the breaker blows right away, we also have a major fire hazard! We are just so upset and sick over this. My husband hasn't been able to sleep. We wish that we had never started this project and just want our money back. This electrical issue is in addition to numerous other problems that we found once we had people that knew what to look for check out the work. I mean too many issues to list.
We too did our research before starting this project and we didnt find any negative information. But now these negative reviews are popping up everywhere. I am now convinced that all of the positive reviews we previously found must have been written by glen himself.
Please, please, please if you are a consumer and you read these reports and for some reason still are considering allowing Bee to do work in your home, be sure to take out permits so that you know the work is at least being done correctly!
