I am a supervisor in BeenVerified's customer service department. I'm very sorry to hear that Ms. Ford had any trouble contacting us to resolve this previously. As I have already notified Ms. Ford directly through email and voicemail, we were able to locate the account and process a full refund of the charges she received from BeenVerified, which totaled $144 (three charges of $48: she was billed in December, March and recently in June).
We offer a free seven day trial. During sign up customers are required to select a subscription package that they would continue with, if they decide not to cancel during the trial period. All terms of the account and billing, and directions for how to contact us to cancel, are posted on the sign-up screen and in the Welcome New Member email sent to the customer after sign-up.
In this case, Ms. Ford selected our $48 unlimited subscription, which is billed quarterly or every 3 months (not every month as she described in the report). I have asked Ms. Ford what steps she remembers taking to cancel her account because we do not have a record of her contacting us previously, and no record of the account being canceled. This is why she continued to receive charges for the account.
Now that she has contacted us, the account is canceled, her charges have been refunded and she will not be billed going forward.
We provide a Contact us link on every page of the site, so customers can reach us at our toll-free number 1-888-579-5910 or by email at [email protected]. If you are billed by BeenVerified, in the description you will see our company name, BeenVerified, along with our toll-free number so you can contact us if you have any questions about the charge.
Ms. Ford or other consumers can visit the site at www.beenverified.com or contact us at 1-888-579-5910 or [email protected] if they have any questions.
