After much time, stress, aggravation & determination, although I'm not sure that any of that really mattered I finally did get my rebates after the phone co. was contacted by the FTC & FCC It seemed to me they were in an extreme hurry to remedy the situation after the complaint was filed with the governing agencies in my state. Actually twice, as I was only sent one check originally for $50. after being assured there would be the two [2] that were promised. I contacted the agencies again & was once again called by no less than the presidents office of the phone co. asking me why I had contacted them again as she had my records stating that I'd received my checks from Fedex in five days after our first conversation. I told her no I had only received one check which is why I contacted them again, she said she would investigate & get back with me shortly & did within 45 minutes....boy time flies when the big guys get involved.:} She asked me why I had not just called her as she had given me her personal number & after all SHE works in the presidents office, to which I replied that the next call I made regarding this situation [as I had told her when she offered me the number] would be to an attorney possibly interested in doing an action as according to all the complaints I had read on the net & heard from others elsewhere that I was no where near the only one that wasn't receiving what was promised to them. To this she replied that there were so many people that failed to properly prepare their rebate papers & that was why they weren't getting their rebates! Yeah right, I guess they would/could have said the same for me however mine was done for me over the phone by a super. of the co. she had me Fedex'd another check for the remaining $50. within days. So there is hope after all, I don't understand & told them this also when you participate or purchase from a company whether it be a service or product why do they even do rebates why don't they just lower the price or credit your account. I guess we all know that answer, most people don't bother getting their rebates, either it's too many hoops to jump through or they try their best to find an error in the way it's presented so as not to have to pay it. I don't feel it fair to list her name & # here but do feel it fair to say that you can get your rebates with Bellsouth if you don't give up & you file your complaints with the right office, hopefully, it's a shame that it has to be that hard. Life is hard enough without co.s making it harder, another note to Bellsouth if you read this: If you didn't deal with making people go thru all this stuff with rebates by using other methods like pricing discounts, credits on their bills,or whatever else the P.R. people you pay millions of dollars a year to come up with you could do away with your rebate center that you really don't need as they really serve no value except to annoy & allienate your customers especially as all calls are routed out of the country & they can hardly understand what we're talking about anyway, just as the tech support team, unless you call during the day & get really lucky.

I am only suggesting the Attorney Generals Office. Can't say they will actually do anything. I dealt with them and they did not bother help me get back almost a thousand from a Goergia Travel Agent! Like you I have been waiting many many months for my money. But it looks Like we both might be out of luck.
