BENEFICIAL AUTO INSURANCE Rip-off, ..their license is INACTIVE, selling bogus insurance West Covina, California
In August 2001, I went to Beneficial Auto Insurance office on 19002 La Puente Road, West Covina, CA to purchase insurance coverage for my 96 Yamaha Royal Star motorcycle. There I was met by Mike & Luis who took my information along with my paymnet of $516.00 for a full year's coverage. Two months had passed and I still have not received any insurance policy confirming that my vehicle and I are covered. I then phoned Beneficial and spoke to Nicole (an assistant who know nothing about customer service)who told me that she is trying to have patience with me. I then met with Luis (Mike is nowhere to be found) who claimed that they had been burglarized and that my documents had been taken. Luis once again took my personal information, called my lienholder and assured us that a policy will be sent within days. It is now February and I have yet to receive anything.
I have contacted the CA Department of Insurance & State of California and made a complaint.
BEWARE, I was told by a Beneficial employee last week that they have been getting a lot of calls and complaints from customers who was charged for insurance but never actually got coverage. I also check their license with the CA Dept. of Insurance which shows that their license are INACTIVE.
