To all rip-off victims,

I fell prey to Beneficial Health Group a couple months ago after receiving a phone call from one of their representatives promising me an unsecured credit card with a credit line of $2,000. It sounded good to me at the time. I filed bancruptcy with my ex-husband almost a year ago, and wanted to re-establish my credit that he ruined.

They wanted a deposit (which I thought was normal for bad credit) in the amount of $299.00. The person who talked me into it was pretty convincing, although after I gave the account information they wanted (and I honestly do not remember them telling me it was non-refundable), I had a bad feeling about it.

They debited my account on the day I agreed for them to do it. Nothing additional after that. I waited, and waited, and waited. I called a couple times, but they gave me the run around. Telling me to wait it out, that it was coming. I asked how it worked, three people told me differnt stories.

Well, I got the package, and it had a Master Card offer. But, NOT what I was promised, not by a long shot. It was a cheesy-looking offer for a pre-paid credit offer (that I had to pay MORE money to) and that even sounded weird.

The folder also came with a cell phone offer (more money), cable dish, crappy medical discount. I'm in the military, so I do not need some off-name crappy medical plan no one has heard of. There was also a loan offer. That was made on a really poorly xeroxed copy that just looked like a scam.

I went through the whole thing. Pissed off beyond belief and it was a Saturday, so I couldn't do anything until Monday except get more pissed off. Thank God, I found the rip-off websight and all the information about this scamming company so I could take action.

The transaction was 30 days ago, so I did what was suggested to me and called my bank back home and told them I did not authorize the transaction and the reversed the money in two days. This is after I spoke with 3 different people at Beneficial Health (who sounded to me like they had an education of about 6th grade), and they gave me the run around. About the only "ummmmmmmmm, it's non-refundable." They would not give me to a supervisor, even though I had all their names and titles. They refused to let me speak with anyone but themselves, and every time I asked them anything or accused them of anything, they would go silent, like they were reading off a screan how to de-escalate me.

The last thing I heard them say was they would file a report on it and to call back in 2 weeks (HA HA HA HA!) I told him hat sounded awfully close to the 60 day mark. He told me I couldn't talk to a supervisor until the two weeks had past. What an a**hole.

That's when I called my bank. I told them I had not authorized the transaction and that I would like an Unauthorized Automated Clearing House Transaction reversed immedietly. She was great. She told me it would show up on the next business day..

I'm planning on taking the money out and closing the account top further protect myself.

You know, $299.00 might not be a lot to some people, but I had ben a single parent for 2 years and just recently got married. I did this to re-build my credit in good faith. What do I get for it? Ripped off!

I'm now reporting them to the FTC, FCC, FBI, and the BBB. Hopefully, these people will get caught and maybe someone reading this will be on alert to these so called, people.

Thanks

Kendal

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
