Like many others, I was ripped off by this company. I ordered a "free sample" on 7/9/04. I cancelled online the same day, after I noticed the fine print about being signed up for additional shipments automatically. I have the online confirmation cancellation page, but it doesn't provide any kind of identifying number.
I called customer service, and the recorded msg advised me to cancel online, which I had done already. I was then billed $4.90 for the "free sample" that I never received. On 8/6/2004 I was charged $70.00 for the NEXT shipment, which should have been cancelled, and was also never received. I called customer service again, they said that I would have to prove I cancelled by mailing them the confirmation page from my online cancellation.
I see from other complaints that pursing further action with them would probably be a waste of time, so I've filed a complaint with my state attorney general, and will be disputing the charges (via a fraud complaint) through my bank, and changing my CC number.
