Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals ripoff false ad deceptive ordering poor customer service Cincinnati Ohio
After seeing several TV ads on AVLIMIL which stated one month's supply was free, I ordered the one month supply online from their website www.avlimil.com/free.
I expected this order was "free" with $4.50 for shipping & handling, which I charged to a credit card. The website, www.avlimil.com/free, did NOT clearly state that this was an automatic enrollment in continued shipments of AVLIMIL.
The website also did NOT state that future shipments come in packages of two month's supply. The website also did NOT state that your credit card would be charged $70.00 for these future shipments.
Now I have received the first shipment with two month's supply and have been charged the $70.00 on my credit card. So I called their "customer care" phone number.
The first customer service rep said that all this info was in the website. She continued talking as if reading a verbatim script. I asked her to stop talking and transfer my call to a supervisor. She just continued talking. At the end of her script she said: "Telling me to stop talking doesn't work with me." Then she did transfer me to a person who said she was the supervisor.
Now here is where this whole mess becomes "interesting."
AVLIMIL takes 90-days to become effective in most women, per this supervisor. Nowhere in this company's TV ads or website is this fact brought out.
Both of the CSR's gave me a different website address, www.askberkeley.com, and offered to walk me through it.
What a GREAT COVER-UP.
The original website is no longer accessable.
And, I'm stuck with a $70.00 charge plus s&h.
