Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals AKA Www.askberkeley.com And The Following Wholly Owned Subsidiary Of Berkeley Premium Nutracuticvals, Inc.: Warner Health Care "Ripoff" and "Fraud" often described attempts to contact web site which I found O.K. and the last box(left collum)cancells program, and leads to refund request package as of 9-04. Cincinnati Ohio
Initially I fell for the hope engendered by the t.v. adds and did order a 30 day sample. Two 30 day samples arrived with an explanation that two months minimum were required to obtain any positive results. When my credit card was billed by Berkeley Neutricuticals we thought it had to do with my diabetic counseling in the city of Berkeley.
After the lessons ended the billing kept on and we put two and two packets every two month together. I tried many times to effect a stop and was frustrated six ways to nowhere, but today Sept 9th '04 the company's web cite exists as askberkeley.com. The left side and at the very bottom is a button to stop the mailings and if all shipments are returned unopened the company says it will refund all payments less shipment charges.
This is probably a concession to the Ohio Attorney General's Office which, from other postings, had received in excess of 2,500 complaints by consumers. I'm in California and here it is a violation of our Deceptive and Unfair Business Practices Act to only list a P.O. box number and not show a physical location (for service of legal process, etc.) See Cal. Business & Professions Code Section 17500 and following.
These guys do seem like they are now trying to do the right things. They just should have had an attorney help with the setting up of the business. O.K. that's it.
