It was Mid to late February of 2007 I went into Best Buy. I bought a Toshiba Laptop PC the A135-S2276...

I paid $589.00 that included the taxes on it.

well after a couple months of having the laptop. one day I was working on it and the screen went blank.. and the computer shut down. I could not even turn it on.

I took it back to Best Buy in Clarksville, IN... where I bought it. They charged me a $30.00 Fee to send out the computer to the Repair center.Ok I get the PC back .they explain to me what went wrong.. they said the Motherboard and the Hard Drive went bad so they had to be replaced.

I get the software Re-loaded back onto the PC. every thing seems to be working ok for the first day or so. then usually once a day the screen would turn blue then the laptop would re boot itself. I just dismissed it as a problem with Windows Vista....

Well about 2 weeks ago I get a message on my screen while the computer is booting up. it says Problem with Hard Drive, Back up all data immediately Failure Eminant!

I call best buy tell them I want the problem fixed... they refuse to refund my money cause its past the return period... they told me I would have to pay an aditional $30.00 to have them Re send the computer back to the repair center. Im arguing why should i have to pay $30.00 again!! for a job that wasn't done right in the first place!

well thats not our problem the store mgr told me.I was pissed! They said they could replace the Hard Drive but it would cost me 120.00 plus the installation fee! I ended up at my own expense having to replace the hard drive for a new one.

I wont ever buy from best buy ever again...

Bestbuy always offers Service Plans(or extended warranty)  on their computers when you buy them. If you had bought that when you bought your laptop then you wouldn't have been charged anysort of service charge. Best buy at that point wasn't obligated to help you, you would then be just under your manufacturer warranty. I also buy the protection plans when i'm investing over 300 dollars in anything for the vary reason you made your report.

I've always shopped at the best buy in clarksville Indiana and never had anything but outstanding customer service.
