Well, it's a good thing that the manager recognized that someone did something wrong by erasing your HD. However, that doesn't do anything to replace what was lost, which brings me to my point. I work in tech support for another company and if there is one thing I stress with my clients, is that backing up data, or files is essential when using a computer. Computers are like cars in the sense that at some point, it is going to start malfunctioning, or not work at all. Not to scold you, but if you had that much information on your computer, and certainly any financial information, you should have made a backup to a removable type of media, such as a CD, or a memory flash drive. You can buy one online at Ebay for about 30-40 bucks and you can hold a lot of information. You really should have backed up data, so perhaps this will be a learning experience, albeit a tough one.
