Best Western Double room charge on credit card Dallas, Texas
Hotels.com charged my credit card $82.67 when I booked the room. A week later, when I checked in at the Best Western, the front desk asked for my credit card and had me sign a slip of paper. On the slip of paper, it stated that the room charge was $62.42. I immediately alerted the staff member that this was not what I was charged. He told me not to worry about it, because my room was paid for already.
A few days after I checked out, I realized that my credit card was charged again, this time for $62.42. When I called the hotel, they stated that they inadvertently charged me for incidentals (I never used the telephone or turned on the television, as I was traveling for business). I alerted them to the fact that it could not have possibly been for incidentals, when the amount was on the slip of paper that I signed at check-in. Instead, Best Western tried to charge twice on this room, hoping that it would not be noticed. This is very unprofessional and immoral.
