I'll start by saying that 15 months has to be a new record for this site. You will need to start checking your statements closer and more often.
This company got your credit card number some how. Some where, online, you entered that information and it went to them. This complaint does bear a striking resemblance to the Safe National scam that was going on about that same time.
Let me ask you a quick question: about a month before the first charge, did you fill out any online pay day loan applications?
It never ceases to amaze me how long a company can charge a monthly fee to some one's credit card before they realize it is happening. This one tops the lady who didn't know Netflix raised their price until 6 months after the new price took affect, then thought she had the right to complain. Her excuse was that she's not check book balancing loser.
You can try escalating your complaint further, but my guess is they just ignore it, or send you a letter stating that your complaint has been deemed illegitimate and you won't get any more money back from them.
I would make sure your bank knows not to process any more transactions from the merchant.
The rest of your money is most likely gone.
Just use this as a learning experience. Make sure you read everything before you submit anything. A couple extra minutes of reading 15 months ago would have saved you all that money and time now. Also, make sure you check your account statements thoroughly and regularly. Most banks and credit card companies have online account management, use it to compare what you have authorized to what actually makes it's way to your account. I check mine daily.
