Better Deal Auto Repair Known to sell unnecessary repairs on unsuspecting customers Spring, Texas
Duane Casey, or as he is known as "Casey", preaches to his employees that we should sell parts to our customers whether they need it or not. He says he uses Castrol oil for his oil changes.....he does not. He offers a "super synthetic" oil change...He uses regular synthetic oil to do this, and just tells you that you have extended mileage intervals. They do not have menu pricing. they will quote you a low price and a quick turn around to get you in the door. then they will disassemble what they need to repair, then tell you the price will go up and it will be longer than expected.
This is common practice. They make up prices when you call them for an estimate. There is only one price that is set in stone...oil change for 13-14 bucks. depending on which location you visited. Want a coolant flush? It is done with an air hose. Unbelievable! They drain your radiator, blow it out with an air gun, and refill it with coolant. Typically a drain and refill would run about 30-40 bucks, depending on where you went. We charge "whatever we can get". Try 79.95. Also, ask for a itemized list for the work that was done. We dont do that. Ask for the history of the work that has been done on your vehicle..We dont keep history.. We dont charge tax...but we will tell you tax is included in whatever we quoted you...If we tell you the job will cost 180.00...then expect to pay 180.00..including tax...Anybody would know that not every job comes out to the nearest dollar...But he doesnt deal with pocket change.
