Complaint Review: Billion Automotive - Sioux Falls South Dakota

 I miss car searching and had heard over the years from people complaining that Billion Auto had pulled Thier credit several times with out warning. I thought since I was aware of that I could prevent it happening to me. I went in and talked to a sales guy about the car I wanted. During our conversation I told him that I have been watching my credit very closely and that it was extremely important that they only pull my credit one time. I told him if you can't get it ok on the first time, I'll just apply at my bank. He seemed to understand but something about him made me think he didn't realize or care how serious I was. To me, this was a big deal and would be to anyone else with knowledge on how a credit pull affected Thier score. If you pull you credit more than 7 times in 2 years, it looks real bad and desperate. Your score drops sizeably. I repeated myself over and over. He ended up scribbling on my application to only check credit one time. I then took his pen and starred his comment and underlined it. I still felt uneasy so I repeated myself again that he needs to also verbally discuss with the finance guy that I'm only allowing one pull. I was there for 2 hours waiting. I didn't know where my sales guy kept going but he's check in with me with some story here and there. I got nervous and asked if he told the finance guy only one time and he said yep I wrote it down. I said No! Tell him. After waiting forever I said is come back tomorrow to finish.

The next morning my credit bureau monitoring service called to notify me my credit was pulled 7 times I on my Equifax report and 2 times on my Transunion Report. I was sick to my stomach. Not only had my requeto been totally ignored but all my hard work on my credit felt put to waste. I know my score will drop at least 20 points and I'll know at the beginning if next month. When I called the sales man, he passed the blame to finance. I told him No its his fault. I told him an annoying amount of times to tell finance to pull it only one time. He had finance call me who was not at all sympathetic and kept telling me to come sign off on the loan they got me. They wouldn't even tell me the rate over the phone. I was so upset and told him I asked several times to only pull the credit once. He tells me the sales manager waa to blame. I told him they had already blamed him and that any one responsible in a credit position would never pull a consumers report that many times in one day and he really hurt my credit. I'm so disgusted. The only thing I can do now is write a letter to those nine banks requesting them to remove Thier inquiry as I didn't approve of it. Who knows how long that'll take and if any of them will honor it. I'm sick to my stomach and so hurt and feel entirely disrespected. They took a potential buyer and did whatever they wanted to Thier credit reputation even with specific conversations on the matter. They refuse to own up to Thier mistakes and handled my concerns so carelessly and with no concern that made me believe that they've dealt with someone in my shoes many times before. I know they have as I was already warned by people around town. Don't make the same mistake as me. If you give them your identity, it's out of your hands. No matter what you say, you have no control on what they decide to do to your credit reputation. My hard work felt wasted.
