My Son is a hard working 23 year old student living on his own in the Biltmore Square Condos at 16th Street and Colter in Phoenix Arizona.

Sometime during the night on July 3, 2007 his vehicle was towed from his assigned parking spot that he had been parking in for almost one year! At first he had no idea what had happened to his vehicle as he was not given any kind of notice, nor had he ever had any probems with parking in the past year. After investigation he found it had been towed to a lot on the West side of town and he would have to pay $200 CASH to get it back.

The next day he inquired as to why his vehicle had been towed and was told by Premier Patrol (the security co.) that the authorization given to tow stated "vehicle not registered to this spot." Now mind you he had been parking the same vehicle, with the same plates, with the correct parking sticker, in the same place for almost one year! Wendy from Premier Patrol told me in a phone conversation, that all my Son had to do was take the sticker in to the manager, Susan Meyer, at the office at Biltmore Square and his $200 would be returned.

The Security Company, Premmier Patrol, blames the Condo Association, Biltmore Condominium Association (Rossmar & Graham) and the Condo Association Board Manager, Susan Meyer, refuses to give my Son the $200.00 back stating that the Board decided his sticker looked "too new" and therefore it could not have been in the window. They also claim that the Security Company spoke to him at work, however the number they claim they called is an old number and he doesn't work there any more and no one with the same name does.

The parking garage at Biltmore Square is covered. He works where he has covered parking. The sticker is very seldom exposed. The statement that the "sticker looked too new" is ridiculous! That is the extent of their proof for denying responsibility.

I have done some investigating and found that there are ongoing problems of this type at the Biltmore Square Condos. Real Estate Agents I have talked to have complained about the unprofessional management and the lack of cooperation. I experienced first hand the most unprofessional conduct I have ever experienced dealing with Susan Meyer. I attempted a polite conversation with her which became ugly and unprofessional in less then 60 seconds. She was rude and uncooperative.

I would tell anyone who was thinking of living at Biltmore Square, DON'T!!!!! It appears to be a nice place, but it isn't. There are other problems with the building that do not pertain to this incident as well.

As for my Son, well he is moving. This was "the icing on the cake" for his decision to move.

Two hundred dollars may not seem like much to some, but to a college student, it is a big deal, especially when he did NOTHING WRONG!

You are totally and understandably upset. I own an owner of condos here, I am not management. Your issue with Susan Meyer, the fired former property manager, if not resolved, you (and I as an owner of condos here would) go to her management, Rossmar and Graham in Scottsdale. They would have rectified it at once. Your issue was with the individual owner of the condo your son rented. They obviously put the wrong space in his rental agreement and they and their rental agent if any should have compensated you for it. Premier Patrol, as bad as they were, pulled cars not assigned to spaces as we had some condos with 2-3-4 stickers per condo for family members. The extra cars should be on the roof open parking but we had a bad issue with people parking in others spaces. Premier was instructed to pull cars not assigned to the spaces involved. Again this was the fault of your son's owner of the condo and rental agent putting the wrong space on his lease. I as an owner would be responsible for giving my tenants the wrong space number on my leases. You should have gone after them. There again, was no excuse for the treatment Susan Meyer gave you, you should have immediately called the corporate office of Rossmar and Graham and asked for the VP that handled all the condo properties in the western areas. I would have. As for just noticing this after 5 years, yours is the only complaint here and Rossmar and Graham is not notified of this. I did see 2 complaints on another site, research indicated both tenants were thrown out by their landlord owners for destroying not only the condos but association property that the landlord then was billed by us for repairs. If they were at the corporate level, it would have been taken care of. They would have taken care of it and billed the owner.

This mother of a tenant was obviously upset and understandably so. This was one of 3 incidents with Premier Patrol. At the time the 367 unit condominuim was a new one, not long ago converted from a rental of only 3 years. I am a resident owner of 1 condominium and own other investor condos. if I was a renter; if my car had a valid sticker and I was told this is my space by the owner in my lease, and the complex had the space registered to another person, I would go after the owner of his apartment who gave him the space. In his lease, it would specifically state his parking space. Small claims court is a good venue to take the tow company for damage to the car, and the condo owner/leasing agent if they had the wrong space listed in the lease. We did have an issue with owners not supplying the office with the leases, that error would have been seen right away by management. There also was no need to treat him in that manner and he should have called the corporate office of the managing agent in Scottsdale.

This is a good upscale complex with 3 interior pools, hot tub, fitness center on 2 floors, club house, business center, gated entry and garage, an on site property manager and assistant (who serves as a concierge), and near everything. It is constantly updated, paint, landscaping, garage power washing, carpet cleanings and replacement; we have 24 hour security weekends and 6 PM to 6 AM weekdays. The Property Manager Susan Meyer who she had issue with has been dismissed. Wendy was her assistant not with the Security Company. Wendy is no longer here and the Security company, Premier, has also been dismissed. Our property management firm, Rossmar and Graham is nothing better than fully professional and meets owners and tenants needs. Our new Property Manager, Mr. Stacy Burnham and his assistant, Krystle Bello, are most attentive to owners and tenants and no one has any issue with them. They go out of their way for everyone and we are very pleased with them. We require a backround check on all new tenants to keep out any problems. What her son had was an isolated incident and not the norm.
