On 07/15/15, I visited www.biolifeplasma.com to create a user profile. The system matched my location with three GA locations, two of which are active (Douglasville & Warner Robbins, GA). I chose the Douglasville location at 3026 Chapel Hill Road as my preferred location since the distance was shorter than the Warner Robbins choice. I continued through the site as a user, scheduling an appointment 13 days from the date of profile entry, scheduling my appointment for 07/28/15. When I arrived at the 3026 Chapel Hill Rd. location in Douglasville, I waited for 20 minutes before a phlebotomist was available to see me. When she inspected my photo-ID (GA issued driver's license) and my social security card, she signaled that my zipcode of my residence was out of bounds for their acceptance zone of donation givers and that I would not be allowed to give plasma at this location. in spite of my pain of making this 70 mile drive one-way, the location would NOT allow me to donate plasma. Is this not the ultimate goal, to collect plasma donations? As a user of www.biolifplasma.com, I was not informed of this radius restriction nor did their system prohibit me from creating an appointment using their scheduling system which required me to complete a profile, which requires my resident address, until I arrived at this location. I was told by the office administrator that "each location has their own boundary restrictions." As a user of www.biolife.com, how am I to know this? I'm not. I would like Baxter Healthcare Corporation, owners of Biolife Plasma, to compensate me for the fuel rate of .54 cents per mile for my round trip journey as a result of the failure to disclose their radius-restriction during the profile to scheduling process online. Thank you kindly.Jeremy Kennedy, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, Public Notary
