I am sorry you had a bad experience with Brenda - I too have purchased a puppy from Brenda -HOWEVER - I can say that she was terrific with me. My daughter has also purchased a puppy - no problems. I have friends here in town who have also purchased puppies -multiple purchases. I'm not sure what happened with your purchase - but I would ask this? Is your puppy healthy? Did you plan on 'showing or breeding' your puppy? If not - the 'papers' are of little consequence. I have been to Brenda's home and have seen her kennels. Both are clean and the dogs she has are well fed and all seemed to be in good health. It's disconcerting to have read such a negative experience - but for others out there - I can say for myself and others I know - our experiences have been wonderful.

I hope your puppy is healthy, I hear so many reports of people getting ill dogs from these unethical breeders. If the breeders don't have the papers when it is time to pick up the dog, don't buy it. Otherwise you run the risk of being scammed for a dog that is not eligible for registration. I have bought and bred several breeds of AKC dogs over the years, and have never had to wait more than 3 weeks for the papers to come back. Unethical breeders are quick to blame the AKC for slowness, when in fact AKC has a very quick turnaround time. So again, people, if there are no papers ready when the pups are ready to go at 8 weeks, most likely there will never be any papers, because they are not eligible.
