I live at apartments where the crime is bad and I dont feel safe. When I first moved into these apartments, after I signed the lease they told me that they use a service to control traffic and you must have a sticker on youre car in order to park there. I was moving out because of the criminal activity/drugs/gangs/fear for my life/noise level. I had temporary stickers I placed on my car each night. On that particular night I had two stickers that were current. After realizing that morning when I was on my way to a job interview in my career, that my car had been towed, I knew right away they had broke into my car and stole the stickers off and towed my car. I have a witness that saw them in my window as well as a witness who saw them park the tow truck, walk to my car, then drive to my car and tow it. During the time he broke in because my car is front wheel drive and needed to go into nutrual in order to tow. When I got to Black Bull that afternoon, they demanded 293 . I told them I wanted to see my car. They kept repeating the price of two ninety three. I called the police but found out that they had already pulled my current stickers off. I showed the stickers that I had not yet used and told the officers, "Now why would I neglet to put stickers on my car if I had them!" The police sympathied with me but told me it was civil. Even if it was criminal. During that time another person had come and told me her car had just been towed and they ripped her stickers off too that were legal stickers and she was also towed illegally. While searching for this I found out that the apartments PARK PLACE and other low income housing communities are in kahoots with the tow companies in order to get their 'cut'. They dont care about the safety, as I assumed, of the renter. They only care to make more money because the community is also section 8 I also learned. They prey on the poor because most poor are uneducated and will not inform themselves to protect their rights. Well I am poor and I am educated and I know I have been violated and this s criminal behavior and this company should be prosecuted as well as shut down. They have numerous marks against them for their criminal activity. I hope that this is researched and you will be able to help prosecute them. I hope one day it will be illegal for apartments to hire criminal companies that are only out to hinder people that are already down instead of truly targeting those people on property that dont belong there like drug dealers and theifs! Of course they in fact are theifs. They entered my car illegally, stole my legal stickers off and then towed my car. The pictures they showed the apartments were from the drivers side where there was a june sticker and a sticker from the 10th. They were grainy and unreadable and in fact instead of being able to see anything they looked like a close up of broken glass. Please beware and stop the scam!

I knew right away they had broke into my car and stole the stickers off and towed my car

- So in a neighborhood so riddled with crime, to the point you were moving out, you knew RIGHT AWAY that your car wasn't stolen instead a tow company(risking CRIMINAL prosecution if they are caught) broke into your car, took your permit and towed the car.   Yea..totally believeable and 100% logical.

I called the police but found out that they had already pulled my current stickers off

- Wait a minute..didn't you state that when you saw your car gone originally that you knew right away they did this?

Now why would I neglet to put stickers on my car if I had them!

Why do shoplifters steal from stores when they have the money in their wallet to pay for it?  The answer is the same...they take a "gamble" that if they get caught that the police might think it was just an "honest" mistake instead of them intentionally doing that gambling if they can get away with it.  After all if you only have 5 temporary permits but need to park there for 10 nights..it is very possible you were tempted to just see if you could "skip" a night and not get caught.
