The rules did change, for one thing I am d**n sure they shortened the validity of the coupons. It also doesn't change the fact that if you do not receive your coupons for whatever reason there is nonone who will help you get it. BB as a company has no respect for its customers. Final word: RENT FROM HOLLYWOOD, BB SUCKS !

I agree that Hollywood is better. The person that responded before me was wrong when stating that Blockbuster is cheaper than Hollywood Video. Besides Blockbuster only lets you rent new releases for 2 days. They also have higher late fees, as they are charged by day. When Blockbuster makes a mistake, good luck trying to get them to admit it. But when Hollywood made a mistake, they appologized and actually made it right. As a direct result, I no longer go to the Blockbuster that I live right across the street from, I drive to Hollywood.

I fail to see how this is in anyway a rip-off. 1. You get free Favorite(non New Release) M-W anytime you rent anything else. These can be DVD or VHS 2. When you rent five items that you paid for you get a free movie that CAN be a New Release in fact when this is earned and taken it takes off the most EXPENSIVE item being rented VHS or DVD. You can do this twice a month. Prices vary in markets, but here in El Paso you could rent 5 .99 cent videos and earn a free 4.99 game, which is spending 4.95 to get 4.99 free...hmmm...doesn't seem like a rip-off there. 3. You also recieve a free favorites coupon every month..you have to make sure BBV has your current address obviously. This program is called REWARDS i.e. a reward for renting is used frequently enough you come out away ahead of the 9.95 (not 9.99) you paid for it especially if you are a game or DVD renter. There have been times where people have come up to rent with items that could have totaled over twelve dollars and walked away paying 3 or 4 at most Like anything it depends on its use. If I buy a car and never drive it I can't go back to the dealership and say it's a rip-off, because I don't use it. That's my choice. As for Hollywood It may different in a different market, but we are wayyy cheaper offer more services, same rental period and don't hire employees our competitor fired for stealing, so again it's about choice.

I have worked for Blockbuster for 3 years, the rewards as NEVER changed! If you read the rules on the coupons, it does says One Blockbuster Favorite, excludes New-Release, and games. The rewards benefits are as follows: You can only have "9" rentals out at a time (all renters), of course this depends on your district. For every 5 paid rentals in each month, you get one free. (Max of 2) Monday - Wednesday, with every paid rental, you get an old one free (No Limit) 12 coupons, one each month that has news on promotions and coupons.
