Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota ripoff consumer rip-off fraud dishonest ripoffs Eagan Minnesota
I worked for an airline in Minnesota that used Blue Cross and Blue Shield as health insurance carriers. Upon my job being eliminated, I was given a "package" The package extended my health benefits by a certain length of time. Until I signed the agreement to accept the package I paid my premiums for COBRA coverage.
That extended my benefits until April of 2002. I then switched to the health insurance of my new employer, also Mn Blue Cross and Blue Shield. After two claims were submitted to them for a Dr. visit within their group, the payments were held up while they (Blue Cross) checked for pre-existing condition(s). They denied PMT, even though they were my carrier all along.
They accepted my payments and deny coverage. Folks, if you have a choice, or if you or your company is considering switching coverage to BCBS of MN do not do it. They are ripoffs. After countless telephone calls to them, nobody can tell me why the claims were denied, nor will anyone get back to me or reinvestigate them. The nitwits said that there was a lapse in my coverage that it went out of force in Jan. but they show records that they paid claims for visits in Feb, Mar, and April of 2002. Go figure. I have never seen so many incompetent people gathered in one place in my life !!!!!!
