Bottom line - don't loose your job and expect these people to transfer your deposit to another dog for purchase at another time, or better yet, return it!  This kennel does not care about the welfare of their dogs - they are money hungry thieves and they stand behind their contracts to steal your money, as well as advertise the dog for a higher price after your deal with them falls through.  I agreed to purchase and adult female from this kennel to start my breeding program, my mistake for not reading reviews of this kennel in the first place.

The price on their website was $1950.00, I placed a $500.00 deposit on this dog and when I tell you the deposit better be there the next day overnighted or by credit card - it better be there, even if the postal worker has to deliver that day in a blizzard or the hounding emails will begin - this woman actually gets out of bed sick to see if you sent her the money and I've got the emails to prove it.  At first one would just think she's a busy woman and has a lot to do, but after a few conversations, you realize she's just plain rude!

She doesn't care what your issues are, she just wants her money.  When I was notified that I lost my job, I immediately emailed this horrible woman to let her know that now wasn't a good time, she actually wrote that this may not be the best time to add a dog, so when I asked if she could just apply my deposit to another dog later down the road Kay McCarthy showed her true colors.  She would not transfer my deposit, nor refund it.  The best part of this is that the week before I was to make final payment, she was already advertising the dog for $2450.00 on puppyfind.com.

So how much is she going to make on this dog?  She stole my $500.00, who knows how many others she's stolen from?  I've written to the Attorney General in their state, but Blue Grass Kennels must generate a great deal of revenue for Kentucky, because they were unable to mediate a reasonable solution.  Kay actually stated that I was nit-picky about sales tax (oh yes, if you pick the dog up in Kentucky, she charges sales tax, but if she ships it to you, you just pay the shipping).

Don't forget all the fees she charges on her contracts, 3% for credit cards, $30-$35 for a wire transfer to her account (and the list goes on), plus whatever you have to pay - this woman nickels and dimes her customers.  She doesn't even show dogs, champions are 4-5 generations back in her pedigree and she still charges ridiculous prices $4500.00 for a cream french bulldog.  All I'm saying is look around public, there are plenty of really nice frenchies out there that are not as high priced and whose owners are not as difficult with which to conduct business.

PS - she actually told the Attorney General's office in an email that I was so rude to her, she wouldn't even consider working with me - reality check - she's the one who's rude and difficult to deal with.  All I wanted to do was start my breeding line and then lost my job which put my plans on hold.  Now, I want to share my experience so other potential buyers are aware of the issues I had, so I'm out $500.00 and no dog or deposit transfer.
