 This card is nothing but a headache. I purchased a bluebird start up kit at walmart on July 23 2015 at about 10:00p.m. It was to add money to a correctional institutions phone system. When I called that phone company they informed me they did not accept amex. I returned to Walmart to try and purchase a visa debit card, I could not pay with the bluebird card because the card comes up as "credit"! I also tried to transfer the funds to another debit, it was refused for the same reason. I had put all my money on this card.!!! I then called amex and the rep told me to go to the approved ATM to draw out my money. I then traveled down to the ATM and STILL could not retrieve money. After running around from store to store, calling and and basically going nowhere, I went home once again called the customer service number on the back, and finally reached a representative. It was 2:00 in the a.m.!!!! She informed me that my card was only partially registered... Only because they didn't send me a confirmation of mail! I could not get back to the registration page because the card information wasn't registered!! The representative fi nally informed my card information was being reviewed!!!!! The card and info was 24 hours old. What info rmation??? I will NEVER purchase another one of these cards again. I missed my fiance's call because of all this bs.
