I am recently an Ex-employee of Bob Hanson who had hired me under the company name, American Credit Literacy and under the company umbrella, EMA Services who is owned by Freddie Mills Jr and Eugene Mills. He hired me under false pretenses, stating that I would be working as an Executive Assistant for a rate of $16 per hour with the opportunity for commissions if I make a sale.

After hired, I was placed in the Sacramento office and told to do cold-sale telemarketing for the credit repair business. This was confusing to me as upon hire, I was told I would be provided warm leads and would only do sales once in awhile, and that my primary job duties would consist of assisting the staff with miscellaneous Admin duties. When questioned, I was told that I was only learning this so I could eventually train the new telemarketing team that would be coming on board. I was able to provide substantial leads and expected to make commission from them. When I asked for something in writing with my pay structure, I was told I would receive something, but never did. I asked for something in writing atleast 4 times and nothing was given to me. In 2 weeks of being employed, I never did anything Executive Assistant related and continued to do cold-calling. Fed up, I demanded answers from Bob Hanson who never replied. I literally had to go out of my way and travel all the way to Lincoln to seek answers. He continued to give me the run around, and then hit me with the mighty surprise that I would only be receiving $12 per hour as opposed to the $16 per hour that was initially agreed upon hire. He told me that it was a "misunderstanding." He told me that eventually I would be doing Admin work, but wanted to get me trained on telemarketing first. Then upon speaking to the new call center supervisor, he informed me I would only be telemarketing at this time. I explained to him this is not what I signed for and I resigned. I was informed I would be getting my check today, 8/20/13 and then low and behold, I get a message from accounting stating that Bob Hanson would not have my check until Thursday after 4:30pm. I left Bob a message stating that if I do not receive my check by today, I would file a report with the California Labor Division. I have yet to receive a response, and I do plan on filing a report.

Apparently I am not the only one to be screwed over by this company. Word of mouth from other employees state that others have also been jipped of pay, been given the run-around, as well as several illegal practices being conducted within the company.

According to another employee, he plans to get together a class action lawsuit against EMA Services. If you have anymore info relating to these people or this company, or are a victim of them, please leave a message with your contact info and I'll forward you over to the person who plans to get the lawsuit together.

By the way, both Bob Hanson and Freddie Mills Jr. have prior lawsuits against them for fraud, embezzlement, scams and ripping employees off.
