Jerry Guajardo, the owner of Boca International Catering, misrepresented the venue on which we were to have a wedding event at. On 8/30/11 we met at the location where the event was to be taken place, he assured me that I would have full access to both inside (the entire first floor), and outside, which include parking for 70 plus guest and backyard to accomdate 70 plus guest. He also was to provide me catering services, where he promised me a variety of food tasting with his personal chef, and a sample of the wedding cake.

The event was to be taken place on November 5, 2011. After many text messages back in forth trying to planned a meeting with him so I can have a food tasting, he keeps on postponing or trying to get out of it by saying, many of his clients don't need a tasting because they are close friends are were refer to him by friends and know how his food taste; I have many text and email showing my concern and inquiry in regards to that among other concern.

On our first meeting on 8/30/11 and also our second meeting at the location, he assured both me and my fiance, and later assured my relative that if it was to rain, he has tents to cover all of my guests, only to go back on his word, 2 weeks before our wedding that he only has tents to cover 2 tables out of the possible 10 tables which will be occupied by our guest. I also can supply text and email showing conversation about that and he assured me before hand that everything will be fine, don't worry. our last encounter at the location of the event, all of my party, which include my
entire wedding party and both me and fiance was hassled and questioned at the security gate; that's when both the owner of the location for our event as well as Jerry informed us that we are not to mention the word "wedding" or
"event" but to just say were "visiting the huffer residence"; mind you, this is news to me, less than 2 weeks before my
wedding, I'm suppose to explain to all my guest, whose language are all not english, to make sure they dont say they are attending a wedding. They told me the reason for it was because, they are not registered with HOA, the
association and they can be fined or get in trouble. You can't imagine what's going through my mind such like: suppose the association get word of it on the day of and halt the event, or police are call, it was unimaginable. I try to
ignore the bad possibilities, after all, It's 13 days before my event, what can i do?

We proceeded to walk to the back because we were denied entrance inside the estate, due to unknown reason. Jerry started to rush us, in a very belittling way that I never experience before by him. When I started playing the songs
that the wedding party are suppose to walk to, he said do it with the song; when my wedding party was walking slowly to the style that I wanted them to walk to, he told them they are walking to slowly and to walk faster, as if he
was trying to wrap this up right now. When we asked him to turn on the back lights so we can see better, they flashed it on for a second, and I mean a second, and left it off. I kept asking why they would not leave the lights on,
but he couldn't give me and answer, saying that they were "under construction" but would be turn on on the day of our event. I was baffled, to say the least, but it dawn on me that he was rushing us because the backyard was infested with mosquitos, hundreds of them, the main area the wedding was to take place and he didn't want to feel or see it. He gathered my party and guide them to the front and said rehearsal was over, less than 45 minutes into it. We
met up with Jerry the next morning to tell him how we felt mistreated and misled and that we are pulling out. That we are doing the unthinkable by having to cancel my wedding, due to the fact that we couldn't subject out guest to that environment.

He appologize for his behavior as well as the owners and offer to find us another venue, but I told him I don't feel like he can do that to my satisfactory in less than 2 weeks; we asked him for our money back, but he said he needs to work out a figure and get back to us in a day or two. He clearly breach his contract, which we never had a binding one, which explain the term, but just a receipt of some sort explaining what he is providing and how much we deposited and how much we owe, and now he is offering to give us only half, in which we decline.

You poor dear, I can't imagine how devastated  you must be. I certainly hope that you can find a better place and a much better wedding planner to help you. I hope you have a wonderful wedding.
