I bought an ebook from Borders, and things did not work out for several reasons:

- ebook is DRM'd, which is OK, as long as things work.
- They tried to get me to install a Borders app to read the ebook. The app is extremely cumbersome and has an annoying user interface.
- I installed Adobe Digital editions and quickly downloaded book onto computer at office, for temporary checking.
- Things worked there.
- Went home and tried to do the same- Result: Book does not work.
- Tried Borders app to no avail.
- e-mailed Borders support twice, got zero response.
- Based on lack of customer support requested refund from Borders and was denied via absolute indifference.
- Tried to get refund via bank and could not as I had paid with Debit Card.

Result:

- I got screwed.

- Only an idiot would create such a screwed up DRM system and another idiot would use it.

- Borders proves they are idiots and not worthy of being an e-store as they really do not understand anything about the online business of ebooks.

- I will never buy again ebooks from Borders, or quite possibly anything else, and hope this report informs others of the disaster that Borders and its ebooks are.

- I will keep buying ebooks from Amazon using Kindle with DRM, which works great or non-DRM'd books like the ones from O'Reillys.
