Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I would steer clear of this company.  I wish I would have read reviews to learn that the owner Joel has changed company names and locations to escape his reputation.

I was contacted by Elizabeth once I filled out a form online to get prices to haul my VW Phaeton to Los Angeles, CA.  The Phaeton is a rare car (It's a Bentley Flying Spur minus $40K), is in pristine condition, and average miles.  When Elizabeth called she said she could have a truck pick up on Friday or Saturday, for sure, and took my deposit.  She said a driver would be calling me in the next few hours.  That was on a Wednesday and never happened.  I called her back and left a message, I left a second message.  When she called she gave the the number of the driver.  That number was bogus so I called her again and it took two more calls to get her on the phone.

I now chastised her and she said the information she gave me was what was on her boards, whatever that meant.  She got off the phone to retreive some answers and was supposed to call back.  That was a Friday and that's the last I heard.  In my conversation with her on Wednesday she said that the driver was in Fairfax, VA, which is 30 minutes from Ashburn where the care was to be picked up.  On Friday she said that the truck was stuck in weather in Hartford Connecticut.  When I called her out on this obvious lie or runaround she said she was simply giving me the info that she had.

I knew by now I had been scammed.  Saturday came around and the truck driver never called or showed up.  I'm convinced that there never was an available driver.  They took my deposit and hoped they could find one to meet my pick up day and couldn't, them skipped with my money.

I had to drive my car across the country in 3 states of snow storms.  The pristine condidtion of this rare car is no more.  The paint is destroyed from all the anti-skid laid on the roads, the windshield is thoroughly pitted, there is a very large dent in the hood. and I had to replace a strut for over a $1K as well as replace all the tires.

Am I disgusted.  You bet I am.  These guys are ripoffs.  Just before I left to drive cross country I called and left a message indication what action I was going to take against his company.  The following Monday Joel called and left a message but at that point I had no need to speak with him.  RIPOFF!!!

I did get the bank to reverse the charge on the deposit.  They told me that this happens alot with these auto transport companies.
