boyd bros. home time and driver pay are wrong clayton, Alabama
as a former driver for boyd brothers i was offered pay such as layover, detention, rembursment for company related expenses, and great home time. According even to the company manual it states what you are to receive as far as benefits to the driver. i am here to tell you it was a giant ripoff and cost me more money than i can keep track of, i was promised that every weekend they get you home but some weekends you may have to stay out which is understandable and the longer you are out the longer the home time, that was lie number one, i was pushed out numerous times from 22 plus days and only thing i may get was a 12 hour pass through home, i had to threaten to quit every time just to get a 36 hour reset and even that was away from home, in a 5 month period i was home maybe 1 week total and thats because of christmas and new years day and i was even dispatched and ordered to leave christmas day. I spent around 600 dollars for company expenses,toll, and equipment and have only been reimbursed 18.50 for one toll thats it. i was laid over for 4 weekends in my 5 months there and have not seen any pay for it, been broke down for 6 days and not payed any breakdown pay. all in all the company owes me 1500 dollars and only thing they sent me was a letter saying that if i want to come back i can. this company is a sham and the only time i ever want to see them again is when i can scrape the money together to take them to court
