Brandyourself.com simply does not work for fixing and clearing these bad things on the internet. The concierge service seems cheap at around 300 dollars a month but after paying for it almost a year later there are no results and everything that is negative online is still there. Why in this instance was Patrick and the Brand Yourself team dishonest with me about what needed to be done to clean up these google search results. You call b******* on brand but the b******* needs to be called on you about your fake criminal background story.

If you want to waste money each and every month and then voice brandyourself complaints and call brand yourself a scam because you wasted your money then you would be advised to go and try their low priced and low results service.

Brand Yourself is known as a misleading company

Service from this company didn't out work for me either. In my case, there are a lot of people who share first and last name, so whenever people search my name they come across thousands of search results. I tried it once and opted out a couple months later. I later asked a recruiter who gave an HR seminar about Brandyourself.com.

He said he heard about the company but don't use them because he can pretty much do all the work by himself by fine tuning LinkedIn profile and contributing articles to different websites/blog--he said even answering questions to Quora helps.

So yeah, if your business is all about staying top of the search results as an individual, then try it out. But I really don't think it's worth paying money for when you can do all the work by yourself by allocating a couple hours of week contributing articles.

Really not impressed with the service and there are a lot of complaints as they try to convince clients that you can fix your image for only $300 a month. Is your image and reputation only worth $300? I know mine is worth a lot more and have numerous complaints about brandyourself's business practice.

I have a huge problem with BrandYourself, the “concierge service” and the software.

I run a PR company, called (((REDACTED))), that focuses on crisis management for large companies. At times, a CEO or executive needs online reputation management help. If it was a small problem, we would use a combination of the do it yourself platforms from BrandYourself, SearchManipulator and LinkAloha. In conjunction with each other, it was easy to do, and very effective. If it was a big problem, we would recommend hiring a company that focuses entirely on online reputation management since it is not our niche. Business was good.

Until one day recently, BrandYourself decided to destroy their SEO-ranking of their site’s users by allowing a $10/month paid service where you can include unlimited “backlinks”. Backlinks is a hyperlink you click on that makes another website more powerful in search results, which can be used to suppress a negative website. If these BrandYourself young kids had any idea what they were doing, they would know too many backlinks on one page is bad for the ranking of a website. They destroyed their platform with their ignorance. Now, my clients’ negative websites have re-emerged on search results, and I am not happy. I have called them to give them my advice, and they ignored me.  Hopefully this helps.

As far as the “concierge service”, I stupidly gave the OK to a client to hire the professional services of BrandYourself when he had a review that was prominent on search results. The service is a scam. They charge an absurd amount of money for a minimal amount of work. The service didn’t work, but they refused to refund him because of their false “money back guarantee”. If you read it closely, the money back guarantee of BrandYourself only guarantees to rank positive sites on search results, it does not guarantee to suppress a negative website. Now I look like a jerk to my client who lost a lot of money due to my recommendation.

It turns out that very prominent negative reviews cannot be suppressed, but of course BrandYourself salesmen won’t tell you that. They just want your hard earned money.

Upon further research, it also turns out that the CEO Pete Kistler’s story is completely fabricated.

The story goes that Pete Kistler went for a job he was surprised not to get, and later found out from a friend that the interviewers had Googled him up and found a drug dealer by the same name, thought it was him, and didn’t hire him. It turns out the story is completely made-up and fake.

Their claim that they were the first “do it yourself” platform is also a lie. LinkAloha, SearchManipulator, Senuke and BacklinkGenie all came first, and are infinitely better.

Anyone can buy articles from TechCrunch, Forbes, etc. to look legitimate; not everyone can do SEO and online reputation management properly. Avoid these inexperienced young kids until they can fix their do-it-yourself platform, professional services’ pricing and money back guarantee.

which I believe is $19.00 a yr. They give you a profile/website that will rank high in your google search and they give you all the sites that rank the highest.. They instruct you how to make those sites work for you.. But you must be diligent with these sites ..Adding content.. If you have a blog for instance from google .. That is a great suite to have.. You can also index or put a site map.. A the little things that helps google to recognize who you are.. Now you can work hard to suppress a rip off report .. And it can still pop on page one at some point.. The more google is familiar with who you are the less chance you will have of rip off popping on page one over and over.. They do have a service as well for $4300 a yr or $399.00 a month for people who have no time or just can't handle the grind and they are also much more experienced at doing this.. They are a legit site that was funded by 4 investors and one I happen to know. So they do what they say they do.. Investors who are well known in the world of investing will not get involved with fakes. They do their due diligence. So if you are a victim of Rip Off until someone can shut down that site.. There are ways to help your google search. Give it a shot it can only help you. It won't hurt you.. 2-6 weeks you will see an improvement and they alert you to who is visiting your site.. They give you a report card every 2 weeks to see how your results may have changed.. As we all know google moves around so a site that may have been on page one for 3 weeks may end up on page 2. It has worked for me.

@tomrfel

 Its nice you know the people there but if you don't know the people who work there, its not that easy. Also, not everyone has the luxury of spending 399.00 a month. :(

@dianepatchen

 You don't need to spend more than $19 a month. I did not say I know the people there other than when I have in the past contacted them for help.. I said I know one of the people who invested hence making it a legit site. When I posted last I had only begun my journey using this site. Now it is months later and I no longer need to do any further work. It takes literally 7 days a week adding content and photo's to your blogs etc. But once you have done that very little work will be involved on your end. It is like anything else, you put the time into it and it will pay off for you. Don't be discouraged, just follow the sites they recommend to sign up with. Purchase a few domains for word press or other sites they offer that to you. Perhaps even find someone to index your sites for you with Google. Also if you have a name that when googled previously had nothing to identify YOU as the only person in your google search this helps to sort that out. If there are people with the same last name as you that needs to be sorted out and this is the best way to do that..

 I used to work at (((REDACTED))) a year ago as an account associate of the reputation management department, (I was in charge of doing the work and website creations to suppress clients' negative reviews) until they let us all go, without severance packages, so they can outsource to India and get cheaper wages. So, I want to share the classified documents they gave us on how to do the work. Below is a list of websites that they sign you up for. There is no magic to what they do, (((REDACTED))) just signs you up for a bunch of websites and they hope it will outrank the negative. Signing up for the below websites is time-consuming, so two of my buddies at (((REDACTED))) started a company three years ago based off do-it-yourself software. Called "SearchManipulator", the software automatically signs you up for the websites below, and does the complicated backlinking part for you. Most of the below websites have a section to add "What websites are you on?". This is the backlinking part. It's easy to do, but hard to get good at. But the SearchManipulator software does it for you automatically, and a good job of it. There is also a new do-it-yourself software called BrandYourself, but I can not give them a good review. BrandYourself is a scam, in my opinion, as their platform is aimed to get you to sign up for their one website, so they can have a lot of users, and then they can spam you selling their professional services (which are much more expensive than Reputation.com's). One website is not enough to suppress a negative website, you need dozens. Shame on you, Pete Kistler. There is also LinkAloha V3. Although the service is frequently sold out because it is borderline spammy, I give them a good review, as they sign you up for dozens of websites like SearchManipulator does. They limit their users so they don't cross the spammy line, despite getting really close. This service requires some computer expertise. SearchManipulator and BrandYourself do not require computer expertise. The websites below should not be all signed up for instantly. Sign up for up to 20 websites below at first, then up to 10 websites at least every 2 weeks. If you sign up for too many websites too quickly, Google will think it is spam. (((REDACTED)))
