First off, they're discriminating. I am 15 and my internet service is down for the entire day. So I call them, tell them the issue, and they say I have to be 18 to send a tech to fix the issue. I had no age problems signing up for the service, and even this same problem happened before and they fixed the line with no problems. My father may not be here when they said the tech can come, but I will. I even bet you I have to be 18 if I ever to wish to cancel the cable service!!

Secondly, they have a crappy Internet service. As said above, I had this issue many times before. Their cable system is as unreliable as the company is.

Thirdly, their billing system wreaks. I signed up for online bill pay and they stop sending me paper bills. I never agreed to that, as all service companies I know use online billing as a supplement for viewing and paying your bill, but usually don't stop sending paper bills.

It is sort of bad that there is only one cable company for the entire tampa bay area. If anyone anticipates to move to Tampa, be prepared for this unreliable company.

Also, if I may comment:

Bay News 9, a news channel that Bright House operates, is also bad. They say that they're better because they don't chat during their newscasts but they just have way more commercials than any other news channel I know. We like chit-chat on the news sometimes anyways. And also, all they do is tape about 30 minutes of news and play it over and over again for hours. Even during the live Kerry/Bush debates in 2004, several times the live feed they had contains interruptions when Kerry was talking. (example: Like once when they put the weather radar up and commercials during the debate) I had to change the channel! They were like constipated!

BH is full of BS.

Yeah, they don't train their customer service people very well. Most don't verify social security numbers or names. The policy to change names on accounts is to have the person come into the lobby and show identification, for security reasons. They rarely follow this policy. They will change names and information on accounts whenever just to hurry and get the customer off the phone. In a way, it isn't their fault entirely. They have leads that walk the floor and will hover over them if they've been on the phone longer than 5 minutes, they'll harrass them and tell them to hurry up. So if you ever call in and they don't really take the time to help you, that is probably because the percentage of calls answered within 1 minute is low for the day. The fact that you are 15 and got service just proves they don't follow protocol. They are supposed to verify a drivers license for every service call. They could actually get in very big trouble for being in a home alone with a minor.

On jan 12 a ch was mailed to bright house and this was a thursday and buy that next monday my ck cleared the bank. On monday the follwing week I had a tech come to the door staing if i could not pay the next day by noon he would cut off my svcSo promptly Tues mornig he he come ready to disconnect and I wrote a ck to keep from disconnect when I had gave hinm the ck I had not called the bank yet cause its was 9am and was just getting up Needlass to say at 1pm I called and found out the ck was cashed almost 2 weeks proir so why was i up for diconnect bright house had no xplnatio about this other than it had not made to the main office yeah right Like im falling for that they are bad news byut who else can I call for cable and i refuse to have satillite cause there office are on the west coast i have many problem with bright house from INdiana to holiday fl and they need to be ashamed of there businee practice they need to reavalute there system and get on page together they suck
