I recieved a letter in the mail stating that i have won the british international lotto held in London, England and that i was one of 17 winners from europe, aisa, and north america.

it states that i was selected through an internet ballot system drawn from 1,500,000 people. The total prize was $1,543,500 split between 17 people.

with this letter, i recieved a Bank of America check for $2,993.56. This check looked very real and had all of the stamps and "no fraud", watermarks and original check stamps and everything.

I was told that i needed to get ahold of my "agent". her name is paula anderson and her address and # was on there.

Anyways, I contaced bank of america first. i gave them the check number and the account number on the check. they said they have no account by that number but to be sure i should bring it to a bank.

Next i contaced the person who supposevly wrote the check. "BorgWarner Emissions/ Thermal Systems". They have an employee one the case already. They've been contaced by people all over the country regarding these checks. The cheks have signatures from actual employees that work there and they said to contact them because they want to know how many checks are out there.

If anyone knows anything else about this horrible and unbelievable fraud, please email me(((ROR REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))).

I want to go further than just turning in this check. I think whoever did this needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law and i want to be there when it happens. maybe even get some kind of compensation out of it. thank you for reading

Welcome to the wonderful world of Fraud. Hopefully you caught it before you got yourself caught up in it, This is a scam that has been going on for a long time. My Fiancee, had sold a car over the internet, recieved a check for 14000 dollars and cashed it. Lucky for him he had made a copy of the check. Later that evening when he got home he noticed the signature. It was signed "your enemy". He immediately went to the bank the next day and got everything cleared up. You did the right thing by making the calls that you did and at this point you should just turn the check in. What happened to the days of being a good samaritian?? Nothing is owed to you, you probably didn't even sign up for a lottery, pay a buck and by a megabucks ticket.
