Broadbandoffers is a scam and a rip off! Chicago Illinois
Be careful of doing business with this company. I signed up for high speed internet service for $19.95 per month for six months. Broadbandoffers.com offered a $30 rebate with purchasing a modem. I complated the necessary forms. About 6 weeks later I received a email that the check was in the mail. I never received the check so one month after receiving the email I called and was assured they would research and call me back.
They never did so I called again two weeks later and spoke to Kevin. Again I was assured they would research and follow-up. Again no response so I called back two weeks later and spoke to someone else. There was no record of my previous calls or requests by either Kevin or the previous rep so I was transferred to Julie the "supervisor". She assured me she woulld look into the matter and call me back.
Ten days later with no response I called again and spoke to Julie who indicating she was still researching and would call me within two days. On the second day I received an email from Broadbandoffers.com that the check was cashed.
I imediately called Julie and requested a copy of the cashed check and an affidvait that I could complete and submit in. She had very heard of such a request and had to do a little research. The following day I received another email informing me that to proceed with filing a fraudulent affidvit I would need to send them a check for $25.00.
This company is a SCAM. The main office is located in Chicago and I would suggest to anyone who gets scammed to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Chicago and a complaint with the IL Attorney General as I have.
