brookes college and american education services Suntrust school closed while still enrolled...now being charged for school loan when my daughter didnt get to complete...so why must i pay for loan? long beach california

My daughter enrolled at Brooks College in 2004. She went got approximately 10 months. Then left the state for a few years. They told her she could continue when she returned. During her absence the school closed and i am being billed for her student loan in full which she didnt get to complete. Ive paid almost half of the loan but dont feel i should have to pay the whole loan as she only got half the education.....please help..i dont know if this is a legitimate company they are calling and threatening me with lawsuits and wage garnishment.
