*Beware of Bryan Bailey and Dasterdly Designs LLC*

I needed web development for my Band "Wet Coma" and found Bryan on New York's Craigslist homepage. His work looked ample and he was timely in his responses to my emails.....initially. That was the last of initial talks on Aug 29th. The work would be $150 and he wanted a $75 deposit. I sent the  money via paypal and did not hear from him for two weeks. Only after threatening legal and criminal action he responded with a lame and vague excuse of being in the hospital. He seems to share a phone and you would think that the person would at least call, write or contact me as my attempts to contact him increased. Finally he responded to my email..as it reads............

"Bryan,

This will be your last chance to contact me and refund the money you essentially stole unless you were hit by a truck or taken hostage. Lucky for me, I make good money and can handle a 75 dollar loss should you choose to not respond. Unlucky for you is that I will not be like the typical stoner and just cut my losses. I am contacting the better business bureau and local police here and there to create a report and hopefully take some legal action against you even if that means more money to me, Now, it is personal and I will do whatever to make public record against you and your scamming ways. I would feel horrible if another person who is not as financially secure gets scammed by you. You have until 3pm tomorrow September 12, 2009 to refund my money or make arrangements or give a d**n fine excuse. From there you will be delt with legally and criminally. I suggest you contact me. It will be the best scenario for you at this point."

he finally responded on September 11....................

"Andy,

My "excuse", as you would call it, was being hospitalized for breathing related issues. Not that it was any of your business at this point and I'm sure it won't warrant any sympathy from you considering I wasn't "hit by a truck or taken hostage". I was pretty angry with your email and was prepared to return it in kind but I'm not even going to stoop to your level. It isn't worth it and I am much better than that. So, that said, you were issued your refund, so there need not be any more contact between us and I wish you nothing but the best in future endeavors. Oh, and just like you're not "the typical stoner" who'll cut his losses, I'm not the typical pacifist that will tolerate your threats. I suggest you keep your temper in check. It will be the best scenario for you at this point. Wink

Bryan"

then his refund was returned.......this is that email.

Amount: $75.00 USD

I merely wanted my money back and he has been unresponsive since so I am starting here. I have all emails and documentation to back me up and his responses to my attempts to retrieve my money. Be careful in dealing with this person. Maybe this is an isolated incident, but people are creatures of patterns and if he does this to me, he could do it to someone else.
