Dangereous car wash on 1428 N. McHenry Rd. Buffalo Grove, IL 60089

On Monday, March 16, 2015 on or around 9:20am,  I entered the Bucky's Self-Service Car wash #427, 1428 N. McHenry Rd. Buffalo Grove, IL. 60089

Below are the details of my very frightening experience.

Entered car wash

car in neutral

car was pulled forward

large bump occurred shaking car

car was thrown to the left off the tracks

car continued to move - car wash still going through cycltes - did not stop - start honking the horn for attention

car continued to be "pushed" to the left towards brushes - car wash still cycling -did not stop - continue honking horn for attention

car finally comes to a stop as left tire "bumps track" - continue honking horn for attention, at this point my car was sidways across the tracks in the car wash

car wash still cycling - continue honking horn for attention

car wash finally finishes

Finally, I thought, someone realizes an incident has happened

No response

I begin again honking the horn

No response

I wedged the left passenger door open against the brushes, jump over the tracks and water, run around the building into the gas station.... I announce, "Oh, my GOD, I have been stuck in your car wash and need help"!

What turns out to be the manager and another employee actually run out the side door leaving me in the building shaking in terror to the car wash, I follow.

The manager - who I learn is Becky - circles my black 2012, Ford Escape several times then puts a silver ramp near the front left tire on my Escape,  and directs a the question to me  "am to upset, to I need to stop shaking before they "help me navigate" my car on the ramp and they, the two employees  " will walk along beside" my car as I put my car back on the track and exit the car wash.

Once I exited the car wash, Becky proceeded to give me contact information, suggested I bring the total damages back to her, she would then contact her boss and I would be compensated for the damages.

I immediately drove to Arlington Heights Ford, the repairs completed same day - a $461 bill, misalignment and damange sensor underneath one of the tires.

I returned with the bill on Monday, March 16, between 4-4:30 pm CDT.

After one of the many calls from Carlos Corniffe, the terriroty manger, in which he assures me, becuase he cannot fully see what happened after I entered the car wash, the entire incident was my fault - he accidentally dialed my phone...to my total amazment I heard him him state, and I quote "I just texted you, I just spoke with her on the phone, she is not going to go away easy."

Frist I was terriozed inside a cas wash I had not idea did not have any fail safe options - this is certainly not posted before you enter the car wash, then I was brushed off as an inconvience.

I also found out during our conversations, the car wash in question was "down" for repairs on  April 14 and April 15.

I am simply asking for reimbursment for damages.  I even offered Mr. Corniffe a "car fax" report as my 2012 Ford Escape has only been serviced by Arlinghton Heights Ford and can prove my car was in top condition before entering the car wash on March 16, 2015.
