I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my teenage son from Budget Auto Sales. Biggest mistake of my life! the jeep was in great cosmetic condition but unfortunately I am too trusting when someone tells me it's in great shape. My son is a new driver and I even told the owner (Lenny) that and how he sleeps at night I will never know. My son drove it maybe 100 miles if that and it wouldn't start when he left a store. We took it to our trusted mechanic only to find out its a piece of junk. It had 15 emission errors, needed a new motor, needed an alignment, the check engine light has been removed from the jeep (which is a federal offense). Once this was discovered, I called Lenny and he pretty much called me a liar and said he personally drove the jeep and it was fine. Then, he suggested my mechanic was probably trying to rip me off...Wrong! I've used my mechanic for years and he has always been brutally honest with me and never charges me to look at my vehicles. I never did get my money back from this place so I suggest Everyone reading this to stay far away from this place unless you just have money you want to flush down the toilet. Please don't make the same mistake I did and lose $3,000. After threatening him with a law suit, his response was "bring it on, I have plenty of money and a good attorney on retainer. I've been to court lots of times". I rarely write negative reviews but I do not want this place to scam anyone else. Buyers Beware!!

Did your brutally honest trusted mechanic inspect the vehicle prior to purchase?

It was purchased as is and I figured it would need some work. Not be a complete piece of junk. It wasn't even discounted for any problems. I found it on Craigslist and the description stated "Mechanically Sound" and regularly serviced. My mechanic said there is no way they did not know the problems that it had. Period!

Did you buy this vehicle "AS-IS"?  If so, ANY and ALL repairs are on you.
