I would like to draw attention to underlining the opinion of Mr McDonald who posted this comment. I am an accountant working out of Blackburn Lancs, to which one of my Clients were seeking to establish it's business in South Yorkshire because of the incentives available. My Client met with a Mr Smith from Business link with myself at that meeting. The Representative of Business Link questioned myself, my projections and my Clients viability as though he were the expert. His attitude and lack of encouragement decided the ultimate fate of the location of the business who have now moved to Glasgow. I'm not clear what the attitude of Business Link Barnsley is supposed to be, or what their policy and procedures are expected to encourage, but what I would say is in all my years at KPMG as well as others, I have never met such a rude and arrogant person professing to represent the Government funding for it's location. I can assure anyone seeking to contact my practice seeking advice regarding starting a business in South Yorkshire, to consider this location last because of this one person and it's attitude to reject and undermine business propositions etc based on their expertise as apposed to the clients needs and requirements.
