Two to three years ago, I decided to take advantage of a offer related to a VistaPrint free card offer. The offer was ostensibly a "Free" $10.00, off. It was the most carefully crafted, deliberate "bait and switch" technique I have ever encountered.
Once selected, I have for nearly two years, had unwanted, unasked-for, and most of the time, undetected credit card charges applied to my credit card, in small amounts of $11.95 by a firm in Connecticutt, that I have never done business with, never requested, and repeatedly had to correct on my credit card bills.
I wrote to them today, told them fortunately I am a journalist, work in finance, and have the opportunity to report both their behaviour, and that of their shill, Vistaprint, to the states attorney general, the fbi internet fraud department, and the SEC since Vistaprint is trying or has recently listed for an IPO.
Its hard to believe that this firm, a latter day electronic roofing gypsy scam shell, is allowed to operate.
After a short google search, of course this site popped up, and I thought to add my voice to the many here who have had their credit cards charged by this organization.
And now, fellow abused internet users, off to pursue the villains.
