To anyone who reads this ... This is a response to the original report. It is an apology to Byhalia Tire.
When my wife told me the wrench was gone, I wrote her remarks into a notepad file and placed it on my computer desktop in case I would need to refer to them later. We do not use ripoff report.com and I had no intention of filing a report there. Later the same day she found the missing wrench under the truck seat so there was no reason to pursue this further.
Today, (Aug 7, 2012), When she told me about the phone call from Byhalia Tire, I was confused and went to my computer to open the file I had created. It was missing and currently cannot be found on my PC. I don't know what happened to the file and I can't properly explain why the information from the file ended up on ripoffreport.com..
In any case, I will accept full responsibility for this incident.
Additionally - I would like to sincerely apologize to Byhalia Tire and Battery for any inconvenience caused by this erronious report. Byhalia Tire employees did not take anything from the truck. The work was performed to my satisfaction and I found nothing wrong with anything.

This truck was brought in by Ms. **** and I (Bill Hale, Manager) drove the truck in the bay myself. I have been in business for 31 years and have never been accused of stealing anything. I have cameras all over this business and after reviewing my cameras I don't know what who ever posted this complaint is talking about when they say we needed 4 or 5 mechanics to install the battery.
We sold Ms. W**** a battery and didn't even charge her to install it. The battery post that they are talking about was already rigged with a different bolt to hold the cable and we only used the same bolt that was already on the cable, which was a bolt that didn't come on that truck. We used our own tools to install the battery and repair a flat tire. Looking at the cameras no one was ever in her truck but myself and the mechanic, it's a shame that someone would post unfounded complaints on the internet just to try to hurt someone's business without even talking to the manager about it.
The sad thing about it is when they find the tool that they are accusing us of stealing that they probably misplaced themselves, they will never retract the complaint or apologize for the accusation. All they have to do is call me and i will let them look at the cameras in the store to prove we didn't do anything wrong. -Bill Hale, Manager Byhalia Tire & Battery
