C Harper Chevrolet Misrepresented a New Car Purchase Belle Vernon Pennsylvania
I purchased a brand new Pontiac G6 at this dealership. I had the car detailed, and it was pointed out to me that the paint on the passenger fender did not match the rest of the car and it was a very poor paint job.
I called GM and they took the VIN # and ran a check, and they found out that the car had the repairs done at the dealership that sold me the car when it had 2 miles on it. (It had 3 miles on it when I made the purchase)
The car also has a V6 emblem on it, and I found that it was actually a 4 cylinder. They 'graciously" offered to remove the emblem...as if I want even MORE damage done to a brand new vehicle.
I was also told that it had an XM radio, and I would get 3 free months of service.
GM placed a 3 way with the salesman who sold it to me (Jose), and she heard him state that I had an XM radio in the car. I was told to call OnStar to have it activated...they took the VIN #, and told me that my car doesn't even HAVE an XM radio in it.
GM was very good about trying to help. They advised me to contact the dealer about the paint. I did, and it was repainted there (under my warranty) The paint looks ok now, but the other issues are still unresolved. Jose will not return my calls ( I Have left a few messages to please call me back) I also spoke with a manager who offered no help, so I asked for someone above him and he told me that he would have the general manager call me back...he never did...this was 2 weeks ago. This whole issue has been going on for months now.
I feel that they should be obligated to give me the car that I paid for, or that I should be compensated for the difference. I would not have paid what I did for a vehicle that was already damaged and repaired....a 4 Cylinder and no XM radio. This was my first new car purchase ever....I never would expect all of these problems.
