I purchased the Groupon from "National Air Duct Cleaning" for:
$69: vent cleaning, including services for:
- Unlimited supply vents
- One main duct
- One return vent to a single furnace under negative pressure
- Includes 21-point inspection for HVAC and duct work
- including all of the above services, with a dryer-vent cleaning and a camera furnace inspection (a $287 value) Technicians will open and vacuum an unlimited number of supply vents, including one main duct and one return vent to a single furnace under negative pressure. Additionally, they will inspect the HVAC system for no additional charge.
I called to schedule an appointment and they didnt have an opening until 6 weeks out. Then, on the day of my appointment, the technician arrives 30 mins late. No phone call, just shows up at 4:30pm. From a 12-4 window. Hes rude and looks like a drug addict, so I send him away.
I call 877-269-9025 and speak with Suzanne. She tells me he's from an outsourced company and will reschedule me an appointment with National Air Duct. I reschedule, of course, 6 WEEKS OUT and the morning of my appointment they call and cancel!! Unbelievable! Stating that they just saw in the notes I want their company, not an outsourced one.
A week later Rubio Andres shows up at my door with his friend. They drap a huge vacuum into my kitchen, attach it to a supply vent, and begin sucking air out of my ducts. He went up into my attic, opened my furnace, tried up upsell me $250 to spray out my fan and give me a reusable vent filter. Said the disposable ones from Home Depot dont work as good. Whatever, Ive had numerous home inspections and noone has ever recommended a reusable filter.
When I didnt agree to purchase anything more, they packed up faster than they came in and hit the road. No 21-point inspection, No vacuuming of UNLIMITED supply vents (just one), nothing cleaned in the furnace "under negative pressure" AND no inpection of our HVAC system. He didnt even lay eyes on it!!!
And PS- he asked to use MY iPhone for the "camera inspection"!!!
This company is a total scam. STAY AWAY from CA Pacific Fresh Breeze aka National Duct Cleaning Services
