Per their letter, Caine and Weiner are attempting to collect a small debt from me that I do not owe. I sent a request for Validation of Debt via CMRR on Sept 29, 2010. They have since called demanding payment. They deny having received my request for validation even though I have signed receipt. Man who called was very rude, very unprofessional and does all he can to intimidate me. He also threatend to file suit and told me to expect the sheriffs at my door very soon. He even went as far as saying that the FDCPA does not apply to them. I am not easily intimidated. So far they are in violation of at least two FDCPA regulations. I will file suit if need be.
For further evidence of this company's blatant disregard of consumer rights and the law, you may want to see comments from other poor souls that have been victims of Cainie and Weiner on the following website:

I have been through this with several bottomfeeders.
Here is how you get them at thier own lie, AND make sure they now "get it".
You make about 100 copies of the request for validation letter, and your proof of mailing and signed delivery reciept.
Now, you gather up every single fax# they have, find out what time thier office closes, and then about 15 minutes after the office closing you POUND every single fax # they have with your REQUEST for Validation request and other documents listed above.
You repeat this cycle until you get a "send error" which means you have run them out of paper and/or toner.
You repeat this cycle every single afternoon until you get what you requested under the provisions of the law.
NOW, they CANNOT say "we never got it"!!
It works! [Just ask Fred Hanna]!!

If a collection agency is refusing to send you a verification in writing you owe a debt its a scam . Do not give them any bank imformation. I see you already have and got a signed reciept and they are denying it.
My advice is stay off the phone if you see thier # on your caller ID and if you have call reject use it.
