Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I bought a very expensive hot tub with 12in. plasma screen T.V. from Cal Spas of Lynwood in October of 2004. Approximately 6-7 months later the T.V. would not come up anymore. I called for repair, which was free due to 1-year warranty on the specific parts that were not working properly including the motor that brings the TV up which was apparently already rusted and water logged and the button that starts the motor.

They sent a repair person out to fix the problem. She said she had to order the parts and would be back to fix the problem she also mentioned explaining that this happens with the motor from time to time. I never heard from her or anyone else for that matter again. I tried contacting Cal Spas, which is now "All Spas" (funny how they changed locations, name and phone number) several times through emails, phone messages etc. I have even tried the Cal Spas website.

After over 1.5 years of trying to get the problem fixed I have had NO luck I even called the corporate office. No response, no return calls or email. Now the warranty is up and still NOTHING. The repair person told me while she was at my house for the initial call that even if the parts didn't come in before my year was up they would still be covered because the initial call was well within the allotted time.

I am frustrated and annoyed. I recently seen a new station advertising Cal Spas in Seattle with a hot tub that had a plasma TV similar to the model I have so I emailed news tips and problem solvers ONLY after trying one more time through an email to Cal Spas. WHY pay thousands of dollars more for a hot tub with a plasma TV, to only be able to watch it 3 or 4 times?

3/13/2007 The television control box was installed and the DVD works but we were unable to test the television - the spa owner could not find the correct remote. 5/2/2007 I borrowed a remote and verified the television was operational. The lift raises and lowers the television and it will play a DVD. I advised the customer they can order a replacement remote from Cal Spas if they are unable to find the original.

Dear Corrina: Please note: I have removed your email address and last name from the emails below to protect your privacy. I am an authorized Cal Spa service agent in Marysville, WA. I did not sell you your spa but I can work with the factory in Pomona, CA to resolve this problem. First, I must apologize for trouble your hot tub has caused. If I had been aware of the problem sooner I would have certainly responded immediately. Let me assure you this matter will be resolved as quickly as possible at no cost to you. Second, thank you, for accepting our offer to repair the spa in lieu of complete replacement or refund. Unfortunately, I have no good explanation for the unacceptable delay in repairing your spa. I can only extend my personal guarantee I will do everything necessary to make it right. Rest assured, Cal Spa is an internationally recognized brand; the factory, AllSpas and I are committed to solving this problem as soon as possible. I must say I admire your patience. The factory in Pomona logged your last contact on 11/7/2005. Neither AllSpas nor I have recorded a contact in the last year. Since AllSpas is only 25 miles from your home, most people would have been standing in the showroom demanding results long before now. As stated below, the replacement part for your spa has been ordered. I will contact you as soon as it arrives and will schedule a service call at your earliest convenience. Once your television has been repaired, I will thoroughly inspect the rest of the spa and answer any questions you may have about its operation. You have my cell phone number. Please, contact me at any time if you have any questions. I will keep you updated and look forward to repairing your spa. Please let me know when someone will be coming out. ----- Original Message ---- From: County Pool & Spa To: corrinam [removed] Sent: Thursday, January 25, 2007 4:07:34 PM Subject: FW: Internet Sales Lead for All-Spas from calspas.com Dear Corina: Please, check your Inbox for emails I sent you on 1/20/2007 and 1/24/2007. I have also left a voice message on your home answering machine today at 11:40. The greeting on your machine confirmed I have the correct phone number. I was made aware of your spa problem on 1/18/2007 and replied to you within 48 hours. Since then, I have determined your television controller was removed from your spa and retuned to the factory for warranty approval. The warranty claim was approved. On 1/24/2007 I sent an email indicating I was ordering the replacement controller and would be out as soon as it arrives to install the controller and make the television in your spa operational. I also indicated you can reach me at any time on my cell phone and provided you with that number. I learned today, the part is not stocked by Cal Spas but must be built to order. The parts department tells me that should only take three to five business days. Please, reply to this email or the voice message I left on your answering machine. I would like to confirm you are receiving these emails or find another way to communicate effectively. I would also like to confirm you will accept a warranty repair in lieu of replacing the entire spa or the refund you demand below. Sincerely, Tom Davis Owner County Pool & Spa Authorized Cal Spa Service Agent
